jackson, Wyoming Frame Job

This was a job i came out to help on in Jackson, Wyoming in the fall of 2009. The first floor was 80% framed up.. While I was there we set several cross beams which were to hold up the second floor. After which we set several gables for the second floor roof... this was in my opinion quite a feat with each of the four gables weighing in excess of 1500 lbs. when sheathed while on the floor.

a quick look back at one of the old tables I built.

redwood slab 3'x 13' with a 5" machiche insert in the center.... held together by ipe butterflies.

addition close up

This is a detailed close up of the corner of the orinda addition I build a few months ago. the 3 1/2" t&g was butted up to the stucco. very clean lines and no space for leaks. I am very proud of how clean this turned out....

west oakland fence

this was a simple fence that was created for a west oakland residence in kind of a sketchy neighborhood...... it was a simple design that was a little out of context in the "hood"...
the client and I came up with something that complimented the house but did not stick out too much in the neighborhood. In my opinion we could have done more with the pergola but because the budget was more then the client wanted to deal with we went with a simple design that was not too obtrusive within the space that we were working with.

exterior stairs

this is a set of exterior stairs which were attached to a house in piedmont, california.
they were made out of pressure treated wood and painted with an oil based exterior paint to match the house.
